 We help cities use data, AI, and cross-sector collaboration to develop blueprints of a healthier future. We focus on connecting health and non-health sectors, applying predictive analytics, and co-creating solutions reduce disparities and build healthier futures for all.

 

At the Novartis Foundation, we use the convergence of science, data, and technology to reimagine urban health. Through AI‑driven insights and multisector partnerships, we co‑create solutions that improve population health and reduce inequities.

**Our two core initiatives,** [**CARDIO4Cities**](/our-programs/cardio4cities "CARDIO4Cities") **and** [**AI4HealthyCities**](/our-programs/ai4healthycities "AI4HealthyCities")**, work as a continuous cycle**. AI4HealthyCities uncovers the factors that drive cardiovascular outcomes in cities. CARDIO4Cities turns those insights into targeted, evidence‑based actions that improve heart health at scale.

Building on this deep experience in cardiovascular health, we apply these methods to additional populations and conditions. By integrating predictive analytics and advancing digital and AI‑driven tools, we help cities shift from reactive care to proactive, preventive, and truly predictive health systems.

We work closely with city leaders, health systems, civil society, and communities. By meeting people where they are and focusing on the neighborhoods most at risk, we help cities detect health risks earlier and support more precise management of chronic conditions.
