Reimagining urban health requires collaboration across sectors and disciplines. No single actor can solve a complex challenge, such as heart health alone.

We bring together actors who may not usually collaborate. The Novartis Foundation acts as a neutral convenor, bringing together partners from public and private sectors, with communities. All share the same goal: leveraging the convergence of science and technology innovations to reimagine the way health in large populations is managed and improved.

This partnership model allows us to move fast, stay credible, and deliver measurable health impact at scale.

Partnership goals

Our partnerships are designed for impact — co-creating data-driven solutions that are scalable, sustainable, and owned by local stakeholders. We engage with partners across five key areas:
Building icon

Health and city authorities

Commit to health targets and co-design and implement interventions that enable local health systems to address health priorities precisely and efficiently.
Microscope icon

Research institutions

Generate evidence to inform action, measure progress, and inform decisions for place-based action, and support scientific validation of social innovations.
People icon

Civil society and community organizations

Understand community priorities and extend reach beyond the brick and mortar of the health systems, reach people where they live and work, and build trust.

Private sector partners

Contribute innovation, expertise, resources, data science, health technology and their engagement with customers and employees.
Network icon

Global networks and multilaterals

Elevate the dialogue on the importance of AI to improve health in large populations and narrow health disparities, share insights and open additional opportunities for collaboration.

What makes our partnership model unique

Our partnerships are based on merging expertise and resources to multiply impact by building trust, creating transparency, and sharing both accountability and glory.

We ensure that local authorities own the process as of the design phase, up to the implementation and results.

We measure progress and impact jointly, learning and adapting as we go.
